He's drawn to her, so much so, that when he wakes from these dreams he wishes to find her. And he will.

He then meets you, dear reader. A woman so full of life and love that he wants to be a part of it. You're an artist, which explains why you're so colorful in his dreams. He wants to be like you. Vibrant and brilliant against the shadows of his faults. But maybe he can't be like you. Instead, maybe you can be like him. Dark and bleak and drained of life. He can sap you of your color, blacken you with the woes of his ego. Either way, you will paint him with the colors of the world, or be besmirched with encroaching darkness.
