Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze and his younger sister, Fuyu, have been neglected by their parents for their brother and sisters(Naruto's the oldest of the quadroplets and Fuyu's a year younger than the quadroplets).

Hinata Hyuuga has been berated by her father because she's weak and sees her unworthy for the heiress status.

Sasuke Uchiha's clan has been massacred by his older brother because of the Uchiha's coup de etat.

Sakura Haruno's mother died while giving birth to her. She's been abused by her father everyday and kicked her out of the house, leaving her homeless.

Faith has brought these five together.
