Francis Iero was little different, she didn't feel right in her body. She didn't like her curves or her breast, she didn't like what was in-between her legs, to her it didn't feel right. She hated her name and hated her gender, she wasn't a girl, she was a boy, she was Frank the short punk boy who thought that they couldn't pass as the gender they knew they were meant to be. Her parents wanted what was best for her but they couldn't stop slipping up calling Frank, Francis.
Then there's Gerard a sassy skinny boy who was to attracted to skirts and crop tops to be male. He didn't like who he was either. He wanted curves and breasts and he hated what was inbetween his legs. His parents knew he was Gee and they accepted who they were and they encouraged them to be Gee. Gee was sassy and confident in school but what is she like behind closed doors?

Gerard way and Frank Iero have always passed each other in the hallway but never spoke a word to one another. They are both alike in many ways. Both loners who feel like they don't quite belong. Frank's family issues seem to swallow him hole which is mainly why he feels like throwing in the towel... permanently. Gerard lives to protect those he cares about. Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide. Frank Iero is struggling with his battle against drugs and depression when he meets artist Gerard Way in a coffee shop. The pair immediately hit it off, and begin their new lives together despite their many issues. - "Homophobic comments are not tolerated here," she pointed her nose in the air as she frowned down dramatically at Gerard. She crossed her arms aggressively causing her ponytail to sway behind her. "Listen kid, I'm the biggest fag in this place, so I'll make all the homophobic comments I like, 'kay?" Way sneered back, raising his eyebrows confrontationally and continuing to chew on the stirrer. She stared at him in disgust as Frank giggled, "It's true, he owns pink tools," he pointed out before she rolled her eyes and stomped away. "The color of the tools doesn't impede their ability to be tools- wait why are you digging around in the closet?" Gerard asked as he waved the stirrer around. "Why do you keep pink tools in the closet?" "Tools. I keep tools in the closet because where the fuck else am I going to keep them? Highschool is a living hell. At least that's Gerard's opinion because he can't pass the hallways without being shoved against lockers or called a "fag". God, how Gerard hated this word. In his last year of school, he decides to take a risk and starts a school project in which he wants to find out why all of his teachers and classmates hate homosexual people so much. For his project "homophobia is gay" he interviews a few people but decides that this won't be enough. What if he could introduce one of them to his world and show them that it's not bad to be gay? Gerard doesn't quite understand why his hair turned completely white when he was only nine years old. There's a list of things he doesn't understand, such as why he can't leave the house after 6pm or why his mother was frantic to cover his hair when they went on family outings. He even wondered why he was pulled out of school after being neglected by all of his teachers. He just wasn't aware that he was a menace, a creative mind with too much power that was being brought into a ring of public shame. He was a Diff. Frank Iero, on the other hand, was a Same. He was a role model, the apple of his mothers eye and the ideal teenager that anyone could ever ask for. Yet, even the most perfect seeming person could have so many secrets that needed to be kept from the people like him.
