Loren Wayne "Raven" Peterson is a regular teenage girl in her senior year of high school. Her school is divided into the cliques-- The Birds, The Big Cats, and The Dogs. If a kid isn't in one of those cliques, they are in the no-cliquers. She belongs to The Birds, a clique in which her father was in when he went to high school. Or at least, that's what she is told. Loren has trouble remembering her past, and her mother won't tell her what happened. When two boys appear in her life, everything is flipped upside down. And what she learns destroys everything she knew about her past.
