Everything about Hannah Cloutier's life is broken.
One brother doesn't want to be recognized; the other is hardly recognizable. One parent has suddenly slipped away; the other's sanity slowly slips away. One friend from the past remains loyal; the other is as disloyal as they come.
Starting Grade 12, Anna does her best to exceed in school. Not being exceptionally athletic, she tutors fellow students in her free time, when not hanging out with one of her two best friends: Claire and Dominic. She and Nick have been best friends for eight years, and to say they've been through a lot together would be an understatement.
Two and a half years ago, Anna went through the hardest "Pause" of her life. Now she seeks nothing but to live ordinarily, like nothing ever happened. However, the arrhythmic beat of her past refuses to stay where it belongs.
On top of her past problems and friendship dilemmas, a new stereotypical delinquent, who just so happens to need a tutor, arrives at Anna's school. Meanwhile, an unknown danger lurks in the shadows, ready to wreak havoc.

The ups and down come in a split second. You can't decide whether you want fast or slow. Dangerous or steady. But you don't get a choice. You go with the flow. No matter what. ~~~~ Finally the day is over, things could have gone a lot worse but the only bad thing I got from today was getting paired with Tim in a business studies assignment. Me and him both arrived late third class and others had already chosen their partners, Dee paired with Nat. I tried conversing with Tim but the only thing I got back was a stare, I looked like a fool. It settles it I hate Timothy Storm. I know hate is a big word, but I never try to converse with anyone and when I finally did I got stared at. ~~~~ As you can see this is your typical cliche love story, the bad boy (Tim) and the the good girl (Kim) are forced to join forces due to the most dispicable activities of them all.....a school project. We have all ready a story like that before....... Infact you already know the ending Or do you? For all we know Kim may or may not be the good girl she claims to be. Is Tim really bad or maybe it's just an act. I promise you this is mostly going to be like most stories, with the crazy bitches that always making the female lead's life hell, the demons of the past coming back to haunt them and other things you have read before, But please just read the book you won't regret it, and if by any chance you do then feel free to cuss me out at the of the book........ but whatever you do read till the end. P.S I may or may not be a little rusty when it comes to writing. I am an amateur after all.
