All William had wanted, was a simple life. For the majority of it, he had been able to achieve just this, living in the shadows for all of it. He never intended to mix the royals, let alone become one of them. However, after slaying the dragon who murdered the royal family, the role of King is forced upon him. However, the role entails more responsibilities then anyone who had it before him. He is a breed of human, who has been long thought dead. A shape shifter, who chose the form of a wolf, someone who has long been persecuted for something he nor any of his kind had been able to help. For centuries, they have been able to remain in the shadows. However, now William has been forced into the light. As the dragons of the realm, begin to push at the borders which have been set for longer than humanity has existed. People look to William, the dragon slayer, for help. Now William must keep the people he once hated alive, so the people that he loved could live.

After being rejected by her husband and Alpha in front of half the werewolf world, Allison does the only thing left that makes sense- she walks away. Heartbroken but unbowed, she rebuilds from the ground up, turning her experience as a Luna into something new: Luna's Compass, a consultancy that fixes the messes other packs are too proud to admit they made. No attachments. No politics. No pity. But fate has a sense of humor. Her newest client, Gordon Hale, is a widowed Alpha raising three daughters and holding his pack together by sheer will. What starts as a six-month contract becomes something far more complicated- professionally, politically, and painfully personal. Between grief, politics, and the slow burn of something she swore she'd never feel again, Allison must learn that fate isn't about who you're tied to - It's about who you become when the bond breaks.
