When 17 year-old Kaidan Alenko accidentally kills his turian instructor, his hopes for the future are changed forever.

Overcome with guilt for his actions, he looks for redemption from Rhana, the girl he loves. But her eyes are filled with fear and revulsion for what he's done and she refuses to speak to him.

Placed under arrest and taken from Jump Zero by Alliance soldiers, Kaidan resolves to never use his biotic gift again. Yet life rarely unfolds the way we plan and Kaidan has a date with destiny.

If It Meant Living: Mass Effect 2

31 parts Complete Mature

The story of Graceyn Shepard - life, death, rebirth, and life once again. "If It Meant Living" covers the game trilogy and much more. While Shepard is the primary focus, major characters are given significant attention and love. Canon is only respected so long as it’s worthy, so don’t get comfortable thinking you know what’s going to happen :). Note: The ME1 and ME3 stories will be published as separate works, as well as the sequel ("Beyond") and the one-shots ("Tales") - but it is fundamentally one over-arching story (hence the continuity of chapter numbering for ME1-3). The "R" rating is for language, violence and (eventually) sexual situations. Bioware owns all rights to Mass Effect and its characters.
