Delilah Brown grew up in a very religious household. Church on Sunday, prayer every morning and night, and she couldn't dare show a bit of interest in boys clothing.
Despite everything she'd done to stay loyal to her family and religion, it wasn't enough. 'A devil spawn', her father would call her when he thought she wasn't listening. 'A child of sin', the priest would say. Why? Because she had Autism. High functioning but just 'noticeable' enough for her parents to worry about the families reputation.
After being diagnosed at 4 years old, instead of taking necessary steps to support Delilah, her parents only prayed for her, desperate to pray away whatever 'devil' lived within her. But nothing worked. Nothing would work.
So when the world ended, they left her. Her own parents left her alone to fend for herself. After all, Delilah was bound to walk the Earth with the new demons which they called walkers.
But it wasn't until a man with a Colt Python and a boy with a sheriff's hat found her that her purpose was changed for the better.
