We all fear something, even those who deny it. There is always something that we are afraid of whether it be spiders, death or the dark. An obstacle of life is conquering those fears and not letting them take over your world, to not let them control your life and your decisions. Fear drives us to the edge of the cliff and gives only two options, to jump or run. The question is, which will you take? Will you take the leap or run away only to be faced with the ultimatum another day?

Meet Scarlet Freeman, an average sophomore in high school. Scarlet has a basic life, with no major problems and no major events. Why is she worth reading about? Because she's like all of us, average and alive. Follow her as she skips her way through elementary school, fumbles her way through her awkward middle school years and shuffles through high school.
