 Dipper and Mabel return to Gravity falls,both now 17, for a summer reunion with their friends and Gruncles. However the morning after they arrive a strange boy with golden hair appears on the doorstep of the mystery shack, with no memory of who he is or where he came from. The only thing he seems to remember is his name. Bill Cipher.

The last day Mabel and their parents saw him was one day before school. And haven't seen him since. All Mabel found in his room was a note. Meanwhile, Bill has fallen on some bad luck. Time baby was not pleased when he returned. Bill's memories were erased and he was turned into a 18 year old human. Placed in gravity falls again, with only one thing. A note. "The mystery shack has answers." Now that Stan and Ford are running the mystery shack for the summer, Soos gets a summer off.
