My name is Anna; I am a sixteen year old battling leukemia. I believe we have a choice in this world, about how to tell sad stories. On the one hand, you can sugarcoat it. The way they do in movies, and romance novels. Where beautiful people, learn beautiful lessons. Where nothing is too messed up that can't be fixed with an apology and a Peter Gabriel song. I like that version as much as the next girl does, believe me. It's just not the truth. This is the truth. Sorry... I am living a far from perfect life; and I'm not talking about the cancer. The people you should really worry about include; my mother, and her mysterious lover, who I prefer to call The Dutch Tulip Man. Also, my delusional hamster Sisyphus believes that running on her wheel will actually get her somewhere in life. While my life may not be perfect, I like the choices I have made, and I am living a life full of adventures. Okay? A/N: There will be some quotes from the book The Fault In Our Stars written by John Green. My book was inspired by this amazing author, so Green deserves recognition. I do not claim any ownership to the quotes used in my story. All quote credits go to John Green. All other parts of my book were written by me.
