“I knew that if the only way I could live was to die then I would take it.”

In a world divided by a strict class system, living in Third Sector doesn’t really give you much hope. Estella Jacobs, Essie, was offered a way of changing her fate at the age of twelve that gave her a chance to live in First, the military capital, where she would train in the Hunter Academy as a military tribute to fight the hidden evil what was soon approaching.

Essie has reached the age where she will undergo the most testing assessment of her body and mind ever created of which will determine whether she can fight the evil or return to Third. She will learn the importance of friendship, family and love as she discovers how strong she really is. Will she ever melt her frozen heart or will she defy everything to keep the HA happy and have no weakness?

COMPLETED (EDIT: In the process of being rewritten! Some of the writing might have you cringing! New chapters will be uploaded once they're all edited and written!) Meet Olivia, she's from Amity. You may think that everyone is Amity is just the happiest people in the world, right? Well, you're wrong. Not everyone at least. When Olivia transfers to Dauntless, where her sister transferred, no one could really figure out why. But will her past from Amity follow her? Haunt her, even? What about a certain Dauntless leader that seems to like her? "Training is over for today, everyone out!" Eric roars and as I'm about to walk through the door, I hear his cold voice yet again, "Not you Via, you stay," The others flood out and I stay planted near the door, he slowly stalks towards me and I find myself walking backward until I've hit the door behind me, I slightly jump from shock and let out yet another shaky sigh, he puts both of his arms beside my head, easily towering over me. "I'm going to break you," he starts, speaking darkly as he looks directly into my eyes, "I'm not sure how, but I will, and I'm going too," "You can't break something that's already been broken by someone else," I whisper, barely audible but I know he hears it. "Who could have possibly broken you? You lived in Amity, Baby doll," he snarls, and I push him out of the way with my shoulder. I walked out of there. (As of 3/28/2019) #1 in Divergent-12.7 stories. (Best) (THIS STORY TALKS ABOUT SOME MATURE THINGS THAT MAY TRIGGER SOME PEOPLE.) I do not own Divergent, I do not own the original Divergent characters, but I do own my characters. The Other One

26 parts Complete

Former Amity member, James Wood has always attempted kindness, but failed consistently. Life for James has always been factored down what his test result will be, but when the aptitude test doesn't work on him, his future is limited to one thing only - death. I stand from where I sat on the train floor, and look out the open door of the cart. Below me, all the factions collide into a surge of different colors that form sort of a discolored mess. In general, the faction system has always seemed kind of pointless to me. Ever since I can remember, I always wondered why we were split up into different groups. I always wondered why we had to be five, instead of a whole. But pieces of the answer I look for have found there way to me. For example, I know now why I have these thoughts. Not because I am curious. Not because I am smart. Because I am divergent.
