Orphans were mistrusted, stealing thieves or at least that's what Eliza thought, suffering from worry about her husbands illness Eliza's mother adopts an orphan to do manual tasks around the house. Then there's Austin who finds it hard to live up too what is expected of him, he ends up just needing a friend and so he runs to the only place he can think off the old tool shed, coincidently where Lucas is staying, there friendship builds but to what avail especially since Eliza is on the case? Sorry I suck at summaries and the story is set on the early 1960's and is based around tradition morals and stereotypes of that time, and it probably won't be accurate so you know.

And if that wasn't going to keep her busy enough, a strange man with a strange connection to the orphanage has shown up on her doorstep and won't go away. She's made it her mission to repair the damage that's been done, but is suspicious of this strange man. She finds it hard to trust him when his knowledge of what happened makes her suspect he may have been involved.
