Gale and Peeta are both from District 12. There was something going on between them. Something that neither of them were sure about. But when Peeta is put in the arena during the Hunger Games, Gale is left alone. Not only do they have to face the fact that Peeta might not come back, but Peeta also has to pretend he is in love with someone else. He has to pretend he is in love with Gale's best friend, Katniss. Not only is it ruining Peeta and Gale's relationship, but Gale and Katniss' relationship as well. All Gale and Peeta want is to be together.... But will they ever get the chance?

We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination. Please do not attempt to recreate it in any form. Additionally, if ideas in this work are similar to that of other writings, it is purely coincidental and I apologize deeply for any inconvenience.
