Set in Mountain Brook, Alabama, Hannah McCoy, the daughter of a wealthy CEO, spends her days at the Birmingham Dance Academy, desperately trying to earn herself a spot as a student in the renowned school Julliard.. That is if she can hold on that long. Hunted by personal demons and crushed beneath the weight of an empty home, for Hannah it feels like a daily struggle just to survive... and it's even harder when she realizes she doesn't want to.

Luke Bolter came to Alabama from a small town in Kentucky. Running from the past he's tried so hard to leave behind, he moves in with his Aunt and four cousins on a horse farm on the edge of Mountain Brook. Plagued with memories and scars from who he used to be, Luke finds comfort in the company of a little red mare named Tike. But he can't out run his past forever, especially when he's reminded every time he looks in the mirror.
