Everett Young became a father at an early age of nineteen with his ex-girlfriend, Anne Freeman. Anne left the baby girl, Ryland, and Everett for drugs and alcohol, resulting in her getting sent to a rehab facility. This forced Everett to have to raise Ryland on his own.
