For a year two girls would always talk about what it'd be like to live in a zombie ridden world. It does have a lot of benefits like not having to pay for food, going on extreme adventures, no school, and the ability to go anywhere anytime whenever they'd like.
It was all fun and games that stopped soon after one of the girls moved away leaving all of the zombie talk to sizzle in its own sauce.
The zombie talk came in handy. The dead have actually risen and are now every corner flooding their lives with unexpected relationships and budding trust for a group of teenagers and their animals. Secrets are kept and fought out as they struggle to track down who started the apocalypse.

The zombie apocalypse started in April. Hannah couldn't fathom how she was able to remember something so irrelevant, although when she has over a year of isolation from any other living human being it's startling as to how much detail and information one person can manage to reminisce. She was 15 years old when it began. Now, she was turning 17 and nothing had gotten better. If anything, everything had become harder. Human extinction was inevitable and the probability of surviving wasn't just slightly possible, it was impossible. Especially when she's alone.
