With the rise of government and regulation, Magic Laws have been placed in effect to appease the people of the world. Every mage must have a license to use their magic outside of their homes but there are those who follow the dangerous path instead. Follow our resident mage (a magical person) Claire Dunsworth who becomes a NYC Mage Detective and her new partner the rugged Detective Raven Black as they investigate crimes of a magical nature. Claire is a mage with exceptional magical talent if not too exceptional for the higher ups within the Guild that monitors all mages of the world. She is an orphan and grew up in a Home for Magical Children on Mage Island, floating in the middle of the Pacific. Under constant watch and scrutiny from the Guild, Claire now finds herself working side by side with a Black, the very family that was breed to become mage assassins, killing thousands of her people. The fact that the Black is also a handsome man does not help Claire's case at all. Raven has nothing to do with his family and yet is hostile to Claire upon finding out she's a mage. He worked as a detective to make sure everyone had equal justice but when he got his new partner Claire his world is thrown upside down. Not only is she a mage whom he silently despises but she's also the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on. Can Raven, a Black, somehow save this woman before she's taken from him forever?
Kingdom of Scourge and Shadow (The Sightstone Series #1) by callicloudy
53 parts Complete Mature
The kingdoms of Caedland and Saroviya have been at war for centuries, and a darkness has spread across the Northern Lands. In the east, Saroviya has been crippled by fighting on multiple fronts, while Caedland still reels from the murder of its queen's consort and the disappearance of its princess nearly two decades ago. Now, in the war-torn lands between the two kingdoms, a new threat has emerged, an unnatural disease that specifically targets the witches who fight for both kingdoms. In Caedland, a new draft means that young witch Judith Craven must report to the kingdom's capital to join the New Army and begin her training in the military arts. There, however, she soon discovers that her power is not as it seems-and neither is her heritage. Meanwhile, in Saroviya, the king's personal Healer, Alina Kalinin, finds herself sucked into a dangerous political landscape when she is assigned by the leader of the Order of Mages to create a cure for the mysterious new disease that has appeared on her kingdom's border. Even as Judith grapples with awful power and Alina struggles to understand a disease whose origins she soon comes to suspect aren't natural, a group of criminals in the neutral kingdom of Rijkelund set out to steal a sacred artifact from the Saroviyan embassy. But, as they embark on a seemingly-impossible mission, they soon discover that all is not as it may seem, and both Saroviya and Caedland are playing a very different game than it may seem from the outside.

With an extended period of downtime on her hands, Cordelia finds a new friend in an odd place, only this next week will turn out to be one of the most formative in her young life... This story is fanfiction of a D&D campaign I play in, and is mostly for my own self indulgence, it does not serve as a gateway into the deep lore of Project Inheritance, but rather, a whole lot of fluff. This (very self indulgent) story is based on Project Inheritance, a closed homebrew D&D 5e campaign I play in. The world is undergoing a period of strife as the Raxan Rebels (a group much larger and more powerful than the name 'rebel' would suggest) are now powerful enough to be toppling governments. At the same time, the lines between realities are growing thin, and the natural order is shifting as realms begin to merge. Every person in this world also has an 'Inheritance' (although in universe they are simply called 'things') which is a curse or ability they gain at birth. These are generally useless, or even hindrances. (examples include addiction to eating rocks, or waking up with a different number of eyes after a long rest.) The Party: Cordelia 'Cordy' Irvine: A child half-elf who joined the party after they failed to protect her caretaker on an escort mission. With no home to return to, Cordelia (already used to being somewhat of a feral child) travels with the group, as she begins to learn more about her mysterious and absent mother, and her own unique abilities. Oakley: An elf who was raised in the fey wilds. He travels with his friend Libro as a sword-for-hire Libro: A crossbreed of several races, Libro travels with his friend Oakley in search of knowledge and new stories Scott: An Aasimar who fled the Raxan Rebels after witnessing the atrocities they were committing, he now works as a mercenary Aster: A Firbolg in search of a safe home for his entire family. He's a simple man with an interesting past.

| Highest rank #1 in Werewolf | Completed+Edited (This is only the first draft so there might be some mistakes here and there.) Spin-off to His Luna: The Prodigal Descendant * "A Wolf will be born so in time, To be mated to a woman who will be a human-- The human who can be a boon or a bane-- She will either bring the entire Wolf race together Or tear all the ties between them apart." It was a gory war--the place in complete ruins and chaos. A blood curdling scream was heard in the distance followed by wails of pain and desperation. The entire battleground was painted scarlet with the munted corpses littering the field. Amongst it all, there was a woman, unlike the rest surrounding her. She was maddened by her love and passion that left her bleeding as her body succumbed to the wound and she fell limp in her Mate's arms. The Alpha was driven into insanity as he held on to his unmoving Mate's frail body. The world seemed to collapse around him as he could see the life fading from the love of his life's eyes. The smile of content on her lifeless face, haunting him, taunting him as all he could do was scream for her to return to him. How will their lives turn out when destiny brings together an egoistic, arrogant but somehow charming Christian King and a headstrong and equally proud woman, Tiara Summers who has quite a few secrets in her bag? * Do not promote your works on my story. That is very rude and disrespectful. Those comments will be deleted as soon as I see them. P.S. The Lost Life of Laraine by BearGoRawr
54 parts Ongoing
She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.
