The past has come back to haunt Kainak of the Pomaika'i Island jungle. An old adversary leads attacks against Pomaika'ian villages and the research expedition. Meanwhile, his aunt comes to Pomaika'i, wanting him to return to Winnipeg and take control of the family business.
