When Rian Bleaker discovers his dad's old journal on the night of his eighteenth birthday, he uncovers a secret about his father that turns his entire world upside down. Rian finds out his father was a Dreamer, and later that night becomes one himself.
The Patrol scours the city each night looking to find Dreamers and capture them. Few who have been captured are ever heard from again. In silence, a league of Dreamers have been plotting to take over the government and bring an end to the slaughter.
With the help of Auryn MacAfee- a girl with her own dark secrets, Rian finds himself on a journey to uncover the truth about his kind and why the government wants them gone.
When Rian is assigned to the Elite, a task force determined to bring down The Patrol, he will be forced to choose between forgiving those who have been lying to him, and siding with the ones who seek to destroy everything he holds dear.
