Becca McIntyre has spent her whole life working her way to the top. But after her parents' divorce and Becca moves from Toronto to a small town with her mother, she's forced to start grade 12 at the bottom of the food chain. As if adjusting to a new school isn't stressful enough, Becca is soon plagued by nightmare-like events that cause her already shaky world to spiral out of control. She doesn't have any friends to turn to for help, and no one can explain to her what's going on... Except for Chance, the weird guy who seems to be way too interested in her. But when Becca learns she is being pulled into actual nightmares and discovers she can create dreams, she has to accept that she is a part of a dangerous world that she knows nothing about, and come to terms with how it all seems to tie into her haunting past.
