This is a story about Zane Daniel, a 16 year old young man who is happy with his life. He's an only child, his parents love each other, and he has the best of friends he could ask for. But what he doesn't have is the guy he's liked since freshmen year. The guy that he's never even uttered a word to, the guy that's never even looked at him, Josh James. He thinks he's happy just watching Josh from a distance and being unseen, until one day he gets a new tutor and things turn upside down.

Living alone, he turns to his passion for art as a way to let his emotions out, but sometimes that proves to not be enough. Sam Larson is a sixteen-year-old closeted gay guy who, after receiving the news of his mother's death, winds up making Jace's life hell as a way of venting his grief. He lives with his twin brother, who is essentially his polar opposite. Sam secretly hates all of his "friends" except for one. Kizuato Larson is Sam's twin brother. Being kind of a recluse, he's a quiet person who is very distant and removed from his sibling. Ever since the twins' dad left when they were seven, Kizuato has been more reserved and less willing to trust people. He hates people who bully others for things that can't be changed- such as sexual orientation or race- especially after having experienced it himself for being asexual/aromantic.
