"Come on!" A young women called from over the gate shooting some of the walkers that were coming after me and Glenn. We quickly climb the gate and headed for the white delivering truck she was standing by we quickly got in as she jump in the drivers seat.
"Who are you?" I asked her shakily. She let out a laugh. "Well I'm the girl that just saved your ass." She said with a smirk.

Where The Wild Things Are
When the world began to fall apart, fourteen-year-old Evelyn Dixon didn't panic-she listened to her father. Stay hidden. Stay quiet. Stay alive. But when Daryl and Merle are forced to leave with the government during the early chaos, Evelyn is left alone in their trailer on the edge of town, clutching a hunting knife and a promise: "I'll come back." Three weeks later, hope is fading. Food is gone. Walkers are everywhere. And Evelyn knows she can't wait any longer. With a battered backpack and her father's survival instincts, she sets off to Atlanta. Instead, a car pulls up... and a man named Rick Grimes and others pick her up. Alongside Carl, Glenn, Rick, Lori and the rest of the survivors, Evelyn begins to carve out a place of her own-while the girl she used to be slips away with every walker she faces.

"Nurse, I need some help." I turn to the man and furrow my eyebrows once more. "I'm not a nurse." He just nods. "Where can I find a nurse?" I shake my head. "Now? Probably no where. It's slim pickens out there. Most people are gone now." He stiffens a bit as he looks scared at my words. "Gone? What do you mean?" I put my gun back in its holster and shrug. "Dead. Once the dead started walking again, most people started getting picked off. It was fast. No one believed the news, so they didn't stay at home." ⚠️Disclaimer: I did not create The Walking Dead. I added my own characters, plot, etc.⚠️

We Ain't Ashes ~ TWD (Daryl Dixon)
She was far from home, wandering through the wreckage of a post-apocalyptic world that no longer made sense. The rules had changed. The future was gone. All that remained was survival, day by day, step by step, always looking over her shoulder. She never expected to find hope again. She didn't expect safety. And she sure as hell didn't expect to fall for a man with a crossbow and a heart he tried to keep hidden. Daryl Dixon was unlike anyone she had ever known - powerful and untamed. A man who carried his pain like a weapon, with eyes that held the weight of a troubled past. He didn't trust easily. He didn't let people get close. But there was something in her, something raw and real, that held him quietly captive. Thrown together by chance and bound by the instinct to protect what little they had left, they begin to find something neither of them believed could survive the end of the world. Not just trust, not just loyalty, but connection. And in the spaces between bloodshed and silence, in the ashes of what was once civilization, they discover that even in the darkest times a love they never expected could take root - raw, real, and relentless. But in a world where every choice carries a price and loyalty is tested in fire and blood, can love really survive the end of the world? Mature content 😜 Original female character. Some main TWD plot points included but with lots of divergence. Beginning just before the start of season one and will follow the entire run of the show. From the author of Athena ~ TWD (Daryl Dixon). I do not own any rights to TWD characters or plots.
