For 4 years Itachi raised her in secret, Shisui helped him. No one else knew she existed. After Itachi killed the clan and leaves for the Akatsuki, he brings Ikeri along. He trained her for 3 years, until one day they had a mission. No anyone was available to look after Ikeri and Itachi couldn't leave her alone so he had to bring her along. "My little girl, stay here. It will only be a few hours. I will always come back for you. Love you." And with that Itachi left. Kakashi and Yamato found her, they thought she was abandoned and brought her back to Konoha.
