What would you do if your mother had died and then some time later, your dad remarried a woman who has two twin daughters? I guess me and Cinderella had that in common. Thank god. My stepmother and stepsisters aren't that evil to me like Cinderella's was to her. The thing with my steps (what I like to call them for short) is that they are obsessed with shopping, manicures, what the latest clothes female celebrities wore nowadays, that kind of stuff. Me, well, I don't really wear girly clothes, just shirts and jeans. I own some sneakers and high-tops not heels and stilettos, and I write in a journal. I'm just an average girl with average looks. I have two of the greatest best friends in the whole world, an older brother fighting in a war in Afghanistan and a dog named Oreo.
My name is Gabriella Gilbert and I would just like to say, to all of you there that are not popular, do not piss off the most popular girl in school. Ever. It's social suicide. That popular girl would stop at nothing to make your whole high school life a living hell. I would know, because I've actually pissed off one, and let's just say, my life had went straight to the fiery pits of Hades. It. Was. Horrible. But with some help of an unexpected source and my best friends, maybe I can have that happy ending Cinderella had. Just one little problem. What happens when your underage, your mom is The Wanted and One Direction's manager and your forced to live in the UK? Well for me it means I'm forced to skip my last year of high school. Hi the name's Alex, Alex Cruz short for Alexandria Skye Cruz but everyone calls me Alex. I hate my full name. It's honestly annoying how much time she spends over there in the UK all because of that boyband and now to add to more of the annoyingness she's now managing One Direction too. Yippee! NOT I mean they're hot and everything and their music is great but I absolutely hate them all 10 of those sexy guys. It's the end of the summer and guess how I'm spending it? With my mother in the UK with One Direction AND The Wanted. A whole year in the freaking UK with none of my friends, no turtles, no sun, nobody who gets me, and I'm missing my senior year. Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first.
