There was not anything seemingly frightening about Thea, but she could stop a man dead in their tracks without even lifting a finger. She is an Empath, one with the rare ability to sense and manipulate the emotions of those around her.

Her uncle, the king, uses this to his own advantage, forcing Thea to do his bidding. But under his majesty's rule, the kingdom has fallen into ruin, with the Red Fever running rampant. There are whispers of an uprising, their sole purpose to restore order to the land.

With pressure mounting, Thea is not sure how much more her powers can take before madness sets in. Will she side with the rebels and return Lyria to its former glory, or will Thea remain under her uncle's rule and protect the only family she has left?

RISE OF ETHERIA by Rain_Shine17

After the great war against Hagorn and the fall of the Hadezar army, peace returned to Encantadia. Zonia, the fated child of prophecy, had given the ultimate sacrifice-laying down her life to fulfill the will of the Diwatas and end the bloodshed that plagued the realms. Her story etched into the sacred scrolls, she became a legend whispered in songs and prayers. With the realm finally at rest, Queen Amihan chose to surrender her crown, entrusting it to the ever-loyal of her youngest sister Danaya, now become the new Hara of Lireo. Amihan, longing for a life beyond duty, had finally chosen love, where she and her beloved Ybrahim were crowned King and Queen of Sapiro, uniting their hearts and their kingdoms. But peace in Encantadia is never eternal. In the shadowed corners of the edge of Encantadia, where time runs differently and vengeance never dies, the Bathaluman Ether-gods of the old and forgotten kingdom-refused to accept defeat. With cruel whispers and ancient magic, she conspired to unearth the past and bend it to their will. Through a forbidden rite, she summoned back Avria, the tyrant queen of Etheria-once destroyed, now reborn. Stronger. Darker. Unforgiving. With no Luntaie to guide the Sang'gres or interpret the signs of fate. Encantadia is left vulnerable to a rising darkness it thought long buried. Old alliances will be tested. New warriors will rise. And the prophecy, thought fulfilled, will reveal a second chapter. For the battle was never truly over. In a world where time bends, and power resurrects-who will protect Encantadia when its greatest defenders are divided?

21 parts Ongoing
In a realm guarded by four elemental gems-Fire, Water, Earth, and Air-the balance of Encantadia is once again threatened. From the frozen world of Mine-ave rises Mitena, the Ice Queen, with a single purpose: to extinguish the light and enslave the elements under her rule. But in the heart of the cold, fire is reborn. Pirena, former Queen of Hathoria, returns from exile-not just as a monarch, but as a mother, a warrior, and a bearer of hope. Upon her return, she is confronted by a ghost from her past: Azulan, the father of her child, the man she long believed to be dead... now a general in the very army that once crushed her kingdom. Between them lies a love long buried-scarred by betrayal, silence, and years of separation. While Azulan walks the razor's edge as a spy within Mitena's court, Pirena struggles to keep her distance, torn between trust and fear. How do you love a man who vanished in the dark? And how do you forgive him when you still don't understand why? Together with their daughter Cassandra and a new generation of Sang'gres, they must face the wounds of the past, the secrets of the present, and a war that will decide the fate of their world. At every turn, hearts will clash with duty, rage will wrestle with forgiveness, and fire will meet ice. In the end, the question is not who holds the most power-but who is willing to fight for the light... and for love. An epic tale of family, betrayal, redemption, and a love that never truly died. A new generation. A new flame. A new Encantadia.

Folktales and legends are the essence of childhood, but there comes a time when they must be left behind. One must grow up. But when The Princess of Kaupa, is married off to the King of the Theas. What seems to be a match made by the avaricious King of Kaupa, turns out to be a match made by the gods. Folktales and legends are the essence of childhood, but there comes a time when they must be left behind. Or must they? * * * I tilt my head to look at him. I have tears in my eyes; one is running down my cold cheek. I see his eyes widen and him falling to his knees beside the tub. He grasps my left arm forcefully, his eyes wide with fear. "You will never have me..." My voice breaks, but I manage to force out the words that are edged in my mind, and in my heart. "I curse you, everything you ever love shall die, everything you ever try shall fail, everything you ever wish for shall be denied you, my curse will ruin you, but the gods... the gods will end you..." I draw in a shaky breath, and gather the last of my strength. "The gods are as sardonic as they are vengeful... You shall die by the hand of The Spirit Warrior..." In the few moments after I say those words, there is utter silence and the only thing I hear is the sound of my blood hitting the water in the tub, which is already painted red. I see him opening his mouth and yell at me, yelling my name, but I hear nothing. I close my eyes and I feel only the blood steadily dropping from my wrist. "Put me in the same coffin..."

* a novella, or short story* Thea isn't doing well. Since the tragedy of "Three Tasks", the thirteen year old has spiraled from bad to worst. She refuses to let anyone in, barely sleeps, barely eats: she's a human ghost. But when Kyle catches her putting a knife to her own skin, he draws the line. Thea is sent, very unwillingly, to Asgard in hopes that there, she may find peace. The problem is, Thea's hatred for Loki has only increased. And she no longer accepts that she is beginning to think of him a brother or, more likely, even a father. While Loki, Thor, Peter, and the rest of the gang tries to reach her, she keeps pushing them back, putting up a wall between them and the world around her. Loki, however, is the only one who has the keys to Thea's heart, but he is still not completely sure how to use that key. And he has secrets of his own, secrets that he knows will threaten those around him, and threaten the one he loves most in this world: the little green-eyed girl who had collided with his world. "Ei Diafol" is as much as about the growing bond between Loki and Thea as it is the struggle with both of their inner demons. But of course, as it is so often with Thea, happiness is only ephemeral. ....Look into her eyes.... ....It's where her demons hide... ....Don't get too close.... ....It's dark inside.... ....It's where her demons hide.... ....It's where her demons hide... Rated PG-13 for: Infrequent language (d*m, h*ll, a*s), occasional amounts of emotional/fantasy violence, and allusions to self-harm
