He's run away from his past, which is the only thing that keeps him going. But one day it comes and knocks on his door and he's forced to redeem it as much as he can. this is the story of his downward spiral, redemption and attempts to fix his mistakes. AUTHOR'S NOTE: pretty much all of this story is from Gale's perspective. and it doesn't have a Gale x Katniss relationship, just friendship. I think that the end of Gale's story was unfulfilling. This story is based off a mini plot twist, but otherwise this is just an After Mockingjay story. The plot twist is basically that Katniss didn't kiss Peeta when they were in the Capitol during the Rebellion, and how it would effect Peeta's recovering, since that is obviously taking it a step back. --- Katniss is broken, tortured, and she has lost almost everyone she ever took a second to care about.
