Jocelyn Green just turned seventeen and moved back to her hometown, a small complex by Alexandria, MN. She loves the smell of the lake and windy fresh air. The first few weeks go great, but she suspects something strange in her bedroom.

The man who hides; one night reveals himself and for some reason, she doesn't scream, doesn't attack him or try to run away. She just sits in bed in fear of who he is, and what he is. He's not human and she knew that right away. When Jocelyn's life suddenly takes its downs and her life is in danger, he protects her, to the point to where he has to follow her. 

She finds out that he's from a race of Chaos made by the Angel Raziel, and that she is also one with two different powers but Chaos are only born with one, everyone thinks she's the new generation on Chaos. But when the enemy, the Foreshadowed somehow get their hands on her, her family secrets crawl out and reveal a power she has no idea existed. The man tells her his name finally but he also reveals a dark horrible secret from his past which traumatized him for years, then she feels like she's actually falling in love with him.

He knows everything about her, the reason she became human, the two powers she could have, the truth of how her father died. He begins to protect her life with his own.

The last man was taller than the others; he looked as he would be the oldest of the three. He had dark black hair and blue eyes. Not the sky blue like her eyes, these were like a dark sapphire blue something that she had never seen before. She could see every muscle of his arms and chest through his tight shirt. She found herself gawking at the man and had to make herself turn away and close her mouth that was obviously hanging open in surprise. Don't get yourself all worked up, it's probably just the moving guys. The people who move in are probably going to be an old grumpy couple that never wants company she told herself. The woman on the floor does not know how much she was framed and harmed by her naivety, nor did she know that this was the beginning of her misfortunes. Because of that woman she did not stop suffering, wherever she went she suffered verbal or physical abuse and everything was orchestrated by this woman; she didn't know until she was about to faint. "Why?" She asked this unarmed woman without knowing why she hated him so much. She never did anything to hurt him. She just laughed viciously without answering him, she didn't have to waste her time with an insect; leaving La to die imprisoned in the house where she was kidnapped. "Answer me!"
