I obviously have to be, that's the only reasonable explanation, right?
I was having a nightmare. Soon enough I would wake up.
I had to. I felt myself start to tremble.
Nope, it wasn't a dream. Nor a nightmare. 
Sitting there in bed, feeling scared to grab my vibrating phone.

Some are missing limbs, and some are missing and eye, or both. They don't even appear to be alive to the boy. They look his way but don't mind him. Tommy is confused and scared. He can slightly remember this place to be his once home, and it makes him upset that's it's gone to such shit, and scared by everyone's screams and the fires and the fighting, and mostly, the fact that some people are eating each other. The supernatural isn't a myth anymore, they are real and I'm one of them. And now the whole world is after us. Note: This can be read as a standalone but you can read Taken first if you want. There's no reason to read it if you don't want to. This book is completely understandable without reading Taken beforehand.

I reached out and touched the diamond, it seemed to melt away leaving glass. I then spotted a man about my age throwing fire at the walls. I screamed. Then I woke up. It was just a dream, right?

Instead I come to and I sit up, right away, a pounding headache bursts through me, it takes a while, but it passes. I look down my white dress, I see dry blood stains on it, but I can't find any injury. I realize that I'm in a cage, I see metal bars around me,the floor I'm sitting on is also metal, I recheck my body for injuries, but instead of an injury, I feel something soft, my blood runs cold, ...fur, it feels like fur, I turn my head around. look down, at the back of my dress and start screaming, I can't stop, it's like someone has taken control of my vocal chords, the reason I'm screaming is because what's on-no what's attached to me, is a wolf's tale.She doesn't know who she is, she doesn't know where she is, what she does know is that she has to escape.

My restless mind doesn't stop to think about things before suggesting them to me, pushing my hopes up. I often have debates with myself inside my head. Good thing nobody else hears it though, otherwise I'm certain I'd get some weird stares. My mind continues to argue with me, but really, I'm just arguing with myself. Maybe he likes you. He doesn't. What about the kiss? A dare, nothing more. You love him. Sure I do, but why would he love someone like me? Do I love him? That's a good question... Wait, why am I even thinking about this stuff? This is just me talking to myself, just me shooting possibilities out there, hopes and dreams that most certainly won't come true. I have sanity to realize this, but unfortunately, the other side of me thinks otherwise. You liked kissing him. STOP IT, STOP IT, STOP IT!!! My heart races just at the thought. I did like kissing him. But it was only a dare. Stop reminding me about it, for god's sake! Maybe he liked it too. Probably not. Maybe he's thinking about you right now, as you are him. Ha! If only!
