Selena, living in Texas, moves to Vancouver to finish her last year of high school. She isn't too keen about it. Her being the girl that everyone wants or wants to be makes the fact that she becomes instantly popular not so hard to understand and isn't something she struggles with.

Justin on the other hand, being the popular jock and known as the schools "player" has his own problem back home. His abusive dad. Justin does everything he has in his power to protect his mother and two siblings.
