Jay Lewis follows every lead she can find, trying to get to the heart of the matter so she can cover the whole story. The one thing she's not ready for? A group of humans whose brains and bodies are growing stronger rather than weaker. They fight back the zombies, use their superhuman intelligence to look for a cure, and provide much needed leadership for the dying world.
