"What is a better bargaining chip," he murmured, low voice rumbling in his throat as he held her chin, keeping her focused on him and him alone, "than the kingdom's beloved princess?"

Princess Sarah, the beloved first child of Cornelia's King and Queen, can't shake the feeling of helplessness she's had for years, especially when her kingdom falls under the attack of Shinryu, the white dragon of legend. In the village during its attack, she is certain she will die with her people -- until a powerful stranger fights back against the dragon, gravely wounding it and driving it away. The man calls himself Garland, and is immediately named General of the Royal Guard, and Cornelia's first Warrior of Light in over fifty years.

No one expected a terrible darkness to hide in the heart of their newfound Warrior of Light. But when his lust for power becomes undeniable, he seeks control of not only the kingdom, but of all time itself.

His first step? Kidnapping Princess Sarah.
