Beaten by her mother and cherished by her father Selena McKenzie is left alone to dream of the fairytale she once had, the fairytale that she lived in when her dad was around. Ten years ago, a little girl and her family were in a car, driving home. A drunk driver split this young family apart, leaving the young girl with her abusive uncle. No one knows why, but her uncle hates her. He hates her with a passion. As if the little girl's life wasn't bad enough, she gets bullied at school. All is lost for the little girl. She just wants to die. However, she meets a boy. A sensitive, caring, boy who wanted to die as well. Although she could never have the courage to talk to him, they share a connection. They understand each other. All he wants is for the girl to talk, he wants her to talk, so she could stand up to the bullies and her uncle. So she could be happy. The little girl isn't so little any more, but she's still afraid. She's afraid to speak up. Will she ever gain the courage?
