My heart ached for him, standing before me and baring his soul for me to see.  I knew how hard this must be for him- I'd been through this process of healing myself.  "Zuko," I sighed as I stepped closer to him.  So close that our breath mingled together.  He kept his eyes downcast but leaned forward to touch his forehead to mine.  Too ashamed to look at me. Katara spend a great amounts of time hating Zuko after his betrayal under the crystal catacombs of Ba Sing Se. She had trusted him and he had betrayed her. When he joins Aang and starts teaching him fire bending her emotions get complicated and she is soon torn between her hatred towards the fire nation and her strange attraction to the Prince of said nation. Zuko infuriates her, annoys her , he is a constant reminder of Aang almost dying yet she finds herself trusting him again and slowly loving him. ~*~*~*~ The story is currently under Edit because it has been two years since I completed it and my English and writing ability have improved since then. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.
