"But... why?" He frowned and hung his head low. His loose hair covered the scar I was so familiar with by now. "All I've done is hurt you, even though that's not my intention."

My heart ached for him, standing before me and baring his soul for me to see. I knew how hard this must be for him- I'd been through this process of healing myself. "Zuko," I sighed as I stepped closer to him. So close that our breath mingled together. He kept his eyes downcast but leaned forward to touch his forehead to mine. Too ashamed to look at me. "I've already forgiven you."

He glanced up at me, his golden eyes flashing sadly. I could see the guilt in them when they trailed to the burns on my neck. "I haven't forgiven myself for it yet, though."

In the heart of the Fire Nation, Sen, a waterbender from the Southern Tribe, older brother of katara and Sokka, finds himself imprisoned, forced to heal the very soldiers who have bound him in chains. With every passing day, the weight of captivity grows heavier, and his spirit begins to crack under the cruelty of his captors-Fire Lord Ozai and his merciless daughter, Azula. Yet, amidst the darkness, one unexpected source of light emerges: Zuko, the exiled prince of the Fire Nation. Initially a prisoner himself, Zuko's wounds from brutal training bring him to Sen's cell, where their bond begins to grow. Over time, their connection deepens, evolving into a secret, forbidden love. But when Zuko is cast out by his father, he is forced to leave Sen behind, promising to return one day. As Zuko embarks on his journey to capture the Avatar, Sen is left alone in the prison, clinging to the hope that one day, the prince will return for him. But the years of abuse take their toll, and Sen finds himself broken, both physically and emotionally. Yet, even in the face of his darkest moments, the memory of Zuko and the love they shared keep the ember of defiance burning within him. With the Avatar's return on the horizon, Sen's hope is reignited. Determined to survive, he holds on to the belief that one day, Zuko will come back for him. For love, for freedom, for redemption-Sen will endure. Uploads will be weekly on Wednesdays, or in some cases several times a week. Hope you enjoy the story!

He once told me no one knows the real him.I didn't think he meant it, and not in a good way. He is a straight A student, and everyone knows it, not to mention he is on the swim team. All that though isn't the real him, the real him hides deep within himself. ---------- "Can you please tell me what that was?" I nearly shout at him. All I get is silence. He keeps his back to me. "Please, I need some explanation." I beg. I stay still as he stops dead in his tracks. His body is tense and it's scarring me. He turns around slowly to face me with his hands at his sides. His eyes meet mine, but there is no spark of any emotion in them. They are cold and dark making me look away not being able to hold his deadly stare. I feel uneasy under his gaze, and i feel his eyes burning a hole in the side of my face. "No, I won't explain because it's not important." He says in a low, almost, growl. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.

"What if..." Katara's voice was barely above a whisper, and she forcibly swallowed the lump in her throat. Her mother's face floated before her, ash falling from the corners of her eyes. "What if I don't..." Aang's lifeless body flashed in her mind, lightning dancing across his spine. "What if I can't forgive him?" Forgiveness isn't easy. (And really, who ever said it was?) This fic follows Katara's emotional journey from the events of "The Western Air Temple" to those of "The Southern Raiders," as she experiences firsthand both the challenges and rewards of forgiving others (and perhaps even learns to forgive herself along the way).
