Everly Johnson, orphaned as a young child, she never knew much about outside world. 
 
 The social cliques, what to wear and what not to.

She didn't understand why they laughed behind their hands as she walked by.

She didn't understand why everyone had a mom and a dad. When she only had a "Lady Granger"

She imagines a life with them though. And she's just in a faraway land, distant from where she's supposed to be, like a really long boarding school.

So she writes, everyday, a letter back home. Where her doting parents are waiting to come and get her.
