Go and find your dictionary, look up Nerd and you’ll find a picture of me there; probably under freak too. I have braces, glasses (yet to come) a funny surname, spotty skin, funny shaped eyebrows and I detest sport. Everything about me screams different. I am that nobody who sits in class, the person everybody sees through – that’s just Harper, the nerd. It’s my label. I don’t have a popular friend, neither am I in love with my best-friend.
If anything I want people to leave me alone; people don’t see me for who I am. They can’t see behind the glasses; which I am glad of. People really don’t want to know the truth about me…
