The Ebony Prince

In the kingdom of Glalihar, young Prince Kaito has come of age and has begun searching for his Princess. For the past two years, every six months a group of six eligible young noble maidens and two Princesses from neighboring kingdoms are selected to stay at the palace and see if they can catch the eye of the Prince.

Prince Kaito is dreamily handsome and desired by all but a few in the noble and royal court he has grown up in. He is kind, generous, and, not to mention, breathtakingly handsome. His black locks and dark golden eyes have captivated many a young maiden. He is nearly impossible to not love and admire, and is known affectionately as the Ebony Prince because of his dark hair.

Annika Flight, however, knows an entirely different side of the beloved Prince. When she was fifteen, his men ravaged her small village and murdered her family. The blaze they set has continued to haunt her for the four years that have passed after. She, her older brother, Malcolm, and their baby sister, Anise, barely escaped.

Now, four years have passed since the fire that destroyed her life. Now, Annika has grown into a beautiful young woman of eighteen, nearly nineteen, and is finally able to seek vengeance for her family's deaths. She has joined the Resistance, the group intent on bringing down the royal family. With their help, she has infiltrated the castle and gotten closer to the Prince than she ever has been before.

Annika plans on murdering the infamous Ebony Prince, the nickname awarded to him for his black-as-night heart. She planned on avenging her family so they, and she, could rest in peace.

When she learns the truth, she realizes that nothing is ever as it seems.
