The greatest thing a person can learn in their lives is about who they are. "Know thyself" - http://thyselfknow.com/ - is the sticking point of deep knowledge, for to know one's self is to come to know nature, the human, and the divine all rolled up together. In this poem, written in my Senior year in High School in 1973, I am trying to tell my family and friends what they didn't seem to know - that I am not one of them, but I am still amazing for all of that.

How to be the Perfect Teenager

32 parts Complete

Ask yourself three basic questions: 1. Do you think that you are an important part of your family? 2. Is there a calm, accepting and happy home atmosphere? 3. Do you feel the freedom to express yourself? If you find yourself staring blankly at the screen, scared that the answers will leave you numb, dive in, this book has been written exactly for you. * A compilation of short stories I write randomly out of shared experiences. * A guide to conquering teenagehood in a world of ever-so-scrutinizing adults. * Pulled out from Our Alter Ego, my personal blog.
