17 year old victor is the prince of the vampire world and soon to be the all- out ruler. When his parents decide that he can't rule alone they send him out to a human high school to find his mate. Victor is reluctant to go but does anyway. When he gets to the high school he automatically smells the scent of his mate. As he finds her and falls in love, he can't help but not want to tell her about his true self and risk her rejecting him. When the time comes he will, but will she accept his true form or will she drift into the arms of cruel reality.
