Awakening

Adria Hollow lives in a world of magic and Mages, where power is passed down to sons but not to daughters. Trapped in a loveless home and destined to be forced into a loveless marriage, Adria runs away to the woods where she finds a band of women escaping a similar fate. When her new found home is threatened, Adria embarks on a dangerous journey to save her sisters and discovers she might not be so powerless after all.

Joining forces with a moody and mysterious warrior, Dominic, Adria begins to unravel a tangled web of secrets that somehow has her trapped in its center. With the help of her new companion, she learns she can do something previously unforeseen with magic: she can trap and store it. When she uncovers that the Mages have terrible plans to use women who can store power like her, Adria must learn to wield the magic she she previously thought uncontrollable.

Meanwhile a dark figure from Adria's past is haunting her dreams, and a terrible secret she's been hiding for years threatens to destroy everything she's worked towards. She's suspicious of her new companion too, all his half truths and odd circumstances make her wonder if his secrets could be even darker than her own.

Will the truth set Adria free? Or will it destroy everything she's come to hold dear?
