Games We Play
Victore Academy boarding school is a lot of things. To the outside world, it's the heaven of schools. For some students, it's an experience they'll never forget. For others, it's the place to start their careers. And maybe for a few, it's the peak of their lives and really as good as it's going to get for them. And for me... well, I'll need a bit more than this to talk about that. But before you step in, here's a few things that everyone makes note of: 1. The students have secrets. And money. It's hard to tell what more of, honestly. 2. Don't get a room on the West Side of the girl's dorms. The birds around that private property lake house downside from campus don't stop chirping at 5AM. It's unpleasant, to say the least. 3. Avoid Mr. Labadee's classroom at all costs outside of lessons, especially past fifth period. It's better off if you're left in the dark with this one. 4. That asshole from Spain that terrorizes all the young freshmen is not hot. However, girls do make note of the fact that he works out post seventh period and right before first, near the track field. 5. The Victor's Tournament happens every year for all the senior year students. It's a pretty big deal. 6. It seems that while Adrian is searching for answers to the puzzle that is Ashley Summers he finds more than just her secrets. He could also find the key to her heart, a place where no person has truly seen before. An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote.
