Cassidy Green was so alone. Her father left her while she was a young child and he's now an alcoholic and addicted to drugs. Not to mention severely brain damaged from a car accident while he was young and he's bipolar. Now she has to deal with him coming back and hurting her mother. Not to mention all the other things school entails and her hate of other people. And when Alex Cross another "emo" at school,whom she hates, tries to talk to her and she realizes that deep deep down inside her pinkie toenail she might have feelings for him.
Alex Cross never really cared about anything or anyone. "Friends"weren't really on his agenda.Until he met Cassidy Green and suddenly he finds himself following her around like a sad puppy when he should be helping his sick mom get away from her boyfriend. He begins to hate himself for even trying to to be talk with someone. All he needs is his headphones and Ipod.
But she's is on the brink of self destruction.
