17 year old Keisha Reedy is a darkskin girl who starts to deal with low-self esteem issues because of her tone when they move from the Bronx to San Antonio. Due to her Father's death and Momma's new job in San Antonio; a huge change from the Bronx, the place she grew up her entire life. The problems that she had in The Bronx, only get worse in San Antonio... the place all the kids make her feel worse than she already feels. Luckily Keisha's older sister comes back from College early and helps Keisha love herself, and shows her that she is and always will be apart of the Melanin Kingdom.
