FANFIC: MAVEN x MARE from RED QUEEN. Book focused on events from GLASS SWORD, but takes its own from there until the end.
WARNING: Before reading, I want to get a few things straight. The characters, settings are all owned by Victoria Aveyard. I am a great fan of the Red Queen series, but after reading I still believe that Maven deserves something better that being a monster. I just can't shrug the feeling off that there's more to his side of the story. Aside from original scenes from the Glass Sword, I will be adding different story lines of my own. I know that many will criticize Maven and me for this, but hey every fan has the right to dream, right? AMAZING THANKS to Victoria Aveyard, the woman behind the amazing world of the Red Queen. Thank you for giving something to us.

"Do you want me to live?" I choke the words out, nearly a sob, head pounding. Maven steps into my cell and this time I do not move away. I stay in my place on the cold ground, waiting to see how he responds. He stops right in front of me, crouching down. He puts a hand out to push the hair out of my face and I let him. He is oddly gentle and an unreadable expression takes over his face. "Of course I do," he finally says, an inkling of pain on his pale face. "And I can have you live."
