Set in two time periods (2015 and 2006) with separate (yet interlaced) storylines based in Ann Arbor. University of Michigan student, Brooke, an independent and daring 24 year old becomes entangled in the world of Sam and Dean Winchester in 2006 when she finds her professor dead. Brooke soon finds out that this is no usual death and she is capable of much more than she could ever have imagined.

Nine years later, the trio return to investigate the death of a university student, discovering all that has changed since they left.
