In a fantasy world, the two countries of Sutton and Terren coexist on a lone island. The princes of this world, Nickolai and Wesley, are both in dire need of a queen after the incident of losing their father. It has been two years, and neither of them has been able to find a lady suitable for the job, so the brothers decide to work together and hold a competition where every girl from ages sixteen to twenty is forced to go before the two princes. There, it will be decided if they will be allowed to enter the competition.
Rayne is a girl who believes that she has no way of making it into the competition; and yet she finds a way to catch the prince's eye. Rayne’s only goal when she goes before the princes is to be able to take care of her parents and siblings, but when she becomes a contestant, she realizes that she might actually start to care about finding love. But when a murder takes place among the contestants, Rayne realizes that some of these girls won't settle for fair play to get what they want.
