This fanfic involves Leo x Karai and Donnie x April, but no smut or lemons, this story involves a little romance but nothing more.
Leo and his brothers finally free Karai and they take her home. Karai finds out that Leo was told to raise a little girl named Chole (the girl from tmnt 2012 episode: Slash and destroy) after the death of her parents by Shredder. Everything goes well and everyone is finally happy now that it is peaceful, but how long will this peace last when some family members starts to disappear? Leo and Chole must face things they thought were impossible but now common. Can this struggling family stay together and fight the pain or will they crumble to theirs deaths for the ultimate sacrifice?

As you get to know them better, you find yourself drawn into their world while trying to understand what's going on with your memories. Little do you know, there's more to your connection with these heroes than meets the eye. Eventual MC x Donatello relationship. A remake of Donatello and April's original relationship dynamic, but slow burned and unrushed, so they can build a true friendship before discovering that either of them have feelings for the other. --------------- I always felt like Donnie crushin' on April in the show was a bit off, especially 'cause she never felt the same way and it felt kind of forced. Chatted with my sis 'bout this ongoing plot in the series, and it hit me - the show could've been way cooler if April and Donatello had a tighter connection, giving 'em both the character development they deserved.
