The ones who have stuck with the commanding government leave to the tunnels, hoping to be safe. When three kids-Molly, Jesus, and Amelia- come into the scene things get a lot easier. Or so they seem.
What happens when one of the kids is two-faced and fighting for the other team?

This book is based off a school project where we used governments like in the novel The Giver by Louis Lowry. I recommend reading that book!

She was someone nobody cared for because she was known as a freak. Why has she named the freak? Isn't it obvious? She's Quiet, hidden and nobody knew her well enough, well not that anyone knew of. (Previously Titled: The Rebellion) In the year of 2026, the country of freedom is left in ruin and chaos. With the few states that haven't seceded from the Union, small communities have been formed from compliant individuals who succumbed to the evil that has overtaken the USA. Outside of these communities are the Slave Camps, where rebellious individuals who have been captured or who have surrendered spend their time working from daylight to nightfall to provide said communities with what they need for luxurious lifestyles. Slaves include men, women, and children, everywhere between six and sixty years of age. Escape is almost unheard of in either community. One Escapee, however, is Bryna Lexington - the leader of a group of people who fight for survival, rebel, but are honestly just trying to get to safety. Their stories are different, their secrets their own, and their ambitions drive what they stand for; freedom, loyalty, compassion, and in some cases, redemption. Upon meeting Aaron Reece and his sister Lea, Bryna's just glad to help out any more fellow Escapees.
