The Aethers are a small group of 'humans' that died in different circumstances at various points in history.
These individuals are drawn together through an indescribable connection and live together as a misshapen family of sorts.
When an Aether dies, they are reborn as they were before they died, in the place of their first demise.
However, when Aethers die, part of their 'self' - their memories - die too.

And without memories, a life of immortality is not a gift, but a curse.

When unknown forces seek to hunt down the Aethers, they'll soon learn their existence is not as simple as they originally thought.
