Aviur (Av-yer) is forced into an elite private school, soon to find himself involved with a gang that dedicates themselves to burning things, called the "Pyre", which also means the burning of bodies. He wanted out of Pyre by the time they make plans to burn the girls dorm down. But as he sleeps he becomes awoken by a feeling crawling under his skin which makes him suddenly thirst for flames.
